Rescue Diver
The Rescue Diver course is where you shift from thinking about yourself to thinking about others. You'll develop risk-awareness, problem-solving, and practical emergency response skills that make you a safer, more confident diver β and a better dive buddy. Many divers say this is the most rewarding course they've ever taken.
Prerequisites
Certification: Open Water (or equivalent)
First Aid: Current first aid/CPR training β we can help you get this if needed.
Minimum age: Typically 10+.
What You'll Learn
Self-rescue: Managing stress, cramps, and fatigue.
Diver assists: Tired, panicked, and unresponsive diver scenarios at the surface and underwater.
Emergency management: Missing diver procedures, equipment problems, shore and boat exits, first aid, and emergency action plans.
What to Expect
This course combines knowledge development, scenario-based confined water practice, and open water rescue exercises.
Duration: Typically 3β4 days.
Intensity: More physically and mentally demanding than previous courses β and incredibly rewarding.
